With TIV Final required on diesel 185 size machines starting in 2014, Sullivan-Palatek is introducing a more economical gasoline powered model using an electronically controlled engine. This new technololgy has a fuel burn rate of 3 gal. (11.4 L) per hour matching the current diesel burn rate while using less expensive gasoline. The result is a compressor with a lower initial purchase price, lower routine maintenance and operating costs, according to the manufacturer.
In addition, the noise level of the engine is less than the diesel and the gasoline option will provide many hours of operation.
The new compressor can be ordered with optional dual fuel allowing the machine to operate on LPG, as well as gasoline, in a seamless transition during operation. These new compressors will come with all features offered on current models and will meet or exceed all current CARB and EPA regulations.
Sullivan-Palatek Inc. located in Michigan City, Ind., is a manufacturer of portable and electric driven rotary screw compressors, dryers, filters and air tools.
The company will be located in Gold lot Booth #1473.
