Construction Equipment Guide

Committed to providing users with conveyor component solutions that deliver the maximum in performance, wear life, belt protection and ease of maintenance — Superior Industries will show its full-scale, comprehensive component line at ConExpo-Con/AGG 2011 in Booth number S-640.

Superior Industries sales and engineering staff will be on-hand to discuss features, benefits and applications as attendees view current and newly-launched idlers, pulleys, and return rolls; as well as the latest guarding, belt cleaning and training accessories.

Exterra SFL Dual Belt Cleaner — a primary and secondary belt cleaner/scraper designed with one mounting point and a common tensioning device for ease of installation and operation. The unit offers a low profile and is available with a tungsten carbide or AR steel secondary blade.

CEMA Rated Chevron Wing Pulley, available in 10- and 20-in. (25 and 51 cm) diameters; and 20- to 63-in. (51 and 160 cm) face widths, and featuring integral hub end-discs for increased pulley life. The V-shaped Chevron Wing Pulley deflects fugitive material and extends conveyor belt life. Also on display are the mine duty and super duty chevron wing pulleys; as well as mine duty and super duty drum pulleys; and a super duty wing pulley.

Navigator Return Trainer —- a recently released next-generation belt tracking solution, which provides continuous alignment, centering the belt and reducing or eliminating any belt damage. This new return training idler offers automatic and contact-free performance for longer wear wife, and ease of maintenance and operation, according to the manufacturer.

CEMA Rated Idlers (B through F), each featuring Superior’s SpinGuard seal system, a bearing defense system; maintenance-friendly base frames; and cost-efficient interchangeability, which allows retrofitting to competitor stands.

Rubber Disc or Lagged Return Rolls — made of hot vulcanized synthetic rubber and lagged to offer resistance to material build-up in moist, sticky applications; and urathon and spiral urathon return rolls that prevent material buildup on the roll and belt, while offering maximum wear life.
