Takeuchi Manufacturing Inc. recently named Luby Equipment Services as its dealer for eastern Missouri and southern Illinois regions.

Since finalizing the agreement in November 2005, Luby has seen a flurry of interest in Takeuchi’s mini-excavators and loaders.

“It’s been a great acquisition for us,” said Ted Rose, vice president and sales manager of Luby. “Takeuchi has an excellent product. Their equipment is built heavy and durable. Our customers can’t say enough about them.”

Luby Equipment Services conducted a week of sales training for its staff concurrently with a week of service training, preparing its employees for the new products.

Luby Equipment specializes in distributing heavy construction equipment to the eastern Missouri and southern and western Illinois areas.

Based in Fenton, MO, with branches in Quincy, IL, O’Fallon, MO, Caseyville, IL, and Cape Girardeau, MO, Luby Equipment offers sales, rentals, and parts and services for machinery including excavators, loaders, and trenchers. The company is close to adding a fifth location in Collinsville, IL.

Takeuchi’s tractor loaders, the TL130, TL140 and TL150, and its line of mini-excavators, TB108, TB016, TB125, TB135, TB145, TB175 and TB53FR, are available at all of Luby’s locations.

Founded in 1977 by Bob Luby as a repair business, Luby Equipment has grown into a regional leader for sales and rentals.
