Terex Cedarapids CRC380HLS Portable Plant Maximizes Production

Thu July 14, 2011 - National Edition
Construction Equipment Guide

The Terex Cedarapids CRC380HLS portable crushing and screening plant’s unique design allows the cone crusher to be constantly choke fed, maximizing production capability. The high lift screen (HLS) and the cone hopper overflow system allow a large head of material to build up, force-feeding the cone crusher, which increases throughput. The large cone hopper and overflow chute buffer feed variations and prevent material from backing up to the screen, which allows production rates to stay at peak levels with no need to throttle back. A gross throughput of up to 1,200 tons (1,088 t) per hour is possible in sand and gravel, according to the manufacturer.

The HLS system also increases uptime by hydraulically moving the screen forward, providing easy access for faster manganese changes. The plant quickly and easily transforms into its operating and transport modes.

The CRC380HLS plant incorporates a high efficiency 300 hp (223 kW) MVP380 ElJay roller bearing cone crusher and a high performance 6 by 20 ft. (1.8 by 6 m) triple deck TSH6203 horizontal screen with ElJay oval stroke design. A blending gate system allows combining center and bottom decks in 25 percent increments for numerous product variations.

Two large 30 in. (76 cm), 7.5 hp (5.6 kW) reversible product conveyors discharge 44 in. (117 cm) beyond the plant frame on either side. The 4-axle configuration and a 3+1-axle option provide portability in most any location. Optional run-on hydraulic jacks, self-cleaning feed conveyor magnet, dust suppression system and zero speed interlocks also are available.
