The “Big Red Bus,” stopped by Linder's Plant City, Fla., location on March 22 to take blood donations that will directly benefit the local community. Oneblood, an organization committed to enhancing the health and well-being of others through its work with blood and stem cell products and by facilitating scientific research, supplied the bus, which took blood donations from several employees who attended the event. Linder representatives said that because the company is community focused, they were honored to give back to the community.

“For me personally, it's just great to be a part of the solution, to help others in need in our community,” said Debbie Hueber, assistant controller.

“I know there's always a shortage of blood, and it's an opportunity to help out. It's just what you do,” said Dana Titus, general manager, fleet operations.

“Having had a family member need a transfusion in the past, I feel as though it's my duty to give back,” said Ben Oquendo, major account/undercarriage specialist.
