Thompson Machinery held a grand opening event to promote the addition of a CAT Rental Store to its Jackson, Tenn., location on April 13. More than 200 guests turned out to celebrate the new addition, which includes upgrades to the showroom, entryway and parts area. Attendees enjoyed a barbeque lunch and live music, and picked up some great giveaway items. They also had the opportunity to win some terrific door prizes, including Cat generators, a Yeti cooler and a Cat tool box.

Plenty of Cat machines and specialty rental machines were on hand for attendees to check out and representatives from Caterpillar, as well as representatives of JLG, Skyjack and Multiquip, were on hand to answer questions about the products on display.

Mike Rattan, CAT Rental Store general manager, said, “This was a great event. We had a lot of local customers come by. This store has been here for 20 years, so we wanted to hold this event to promote the new addition of the CAT Rental Store at this facility. We wanted to get the word out that we are more than a supplier of earth moving company. We now provide aerial equipment and general line and specialty machines to help with new construction, industrial work or even homeowner rental needs. We now offer a full line from start to finish for their projects.

“Our motto is — you expect it, we deliver it, and that also will be the philosophy of the new rental store. I want to thank our customers for coming out to see us and thank our staff for their support.” —CEG
