Stellar Industries unveils the 2025 Hybrid Power Source (HPS) for mechanic trucks at Work Truck Week 2025. This sustainable, customizable power solution aims to reduce fuel consumption and emissions for fleet operators.
Tue March 04, 2025 - National Edition
Stellar Industries introduced its 2025 model year Hybrid Power Source (HPS) at Work Truck Week 2025 in Indianapolis, Ind.
Stellar is now implementing an annual model year structure for the HPS, ensuring its distributors and customers benefit from the latest advancements in battery technology and electric power solutions. This approach mirrors the newly introduced TMAX aluminum mechanic truck model year structure, delivering continuous improvements in a structured, predictable format, according to the company.
"With battery technology and electrification rapidly evolving, we want to ensure our customers have access to the most efficient and capable power solutions available," said Tyler Havens, product manager of Stellar. "The model year approach allows us to bring updates to market in a streamlined, easy-to-adopt manner, reinforcing our commitment to innovation while making upfitting and product adoption more seamless for our distributors."
• Flexible Battery Capacity: Users can upsize or downsize battery capacity based on their operational needs.
• Versatile Compatibility: Designed for both traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) chassis. The EV chassis functions as a standalone unit with a larger battery, not reliant on chassis charging. The ICE chassis can be charged using the chassis, enabling the use of a smaller, more cost-effective battery setup.
• Slimmest & Lightest Configuration: Optimized design for reduced weight without sacrificing performance.
• Modular System: Offers different sizes for different needs, allowing for full customization.
• Seamless Equipment Integration: Directly integrates with Stellar cranes, compressors and stabilizers for optimized performance.
• Efficient Pneumatic Operation: Standard HPS supports a standard 40P compressor — enough power to effectively get the job done.
• Flow & Pressure Control: Ensures consistent pressure even as flow increases for improved efficiency.
• Quiet Operation: Designed for minimal noise, ideal for job sites where sound levels matter.
• Technology Updates: Continual advancements to keep pace with the evolving electric power landscape.
The 2025 HPS is engineered to provide operators with greater flexibility, lower operating costs and environmentally friendly power without compromising performance, according to the company. This next-generation power source is ideal for fleets looking to reduce fuel consumption, lower emissions and optimize operational efficiency in both conventional and electrified applications.
