The Red Cross is requesting that personnel and equipment be moved from 2700 Southwest Freeway, Houston, TX (Red Cross Disaster Relief HQ) to various TX locations as needed. Ideally, a capability would be assigned to support Red Cross Mass Care operations for 72 hours.

Attention: The following message is for current GSA-approved transportation service providers only:

FEMA is looking to rent 400 2.5 ton high water trucks for 72 hours. Please provide number you may have for rent. Based on current flooding conditions in Texas (due to Hurricane Harvey) the Red Cross is incapable of supplying and manning urgently needed shelter facilities in the vicinity of Houston.

The Red Cross is requesting that personnel and equipment be moved from 2700 Southwest Freeway, Houston, TX (Red Cross Disaster Relief HQ) to various TX locations as needed. Ideally, a capability would be assigned to support Red Cross Mass Care operations for 72 hours. If this is not feasible then point to point requests will be submitted.

If you are a GSA approved company and can access high water vehicles for use in meeting this need, PLEASE let us know so we can include your company on a list of transporters we're compiling. Please respond NLT 10:00 a.m. (Mon. Aug 28, 2017) ONLY IF you have the capability to supply the requested items. NO NEGATIVE RESPONSES NEEDED.
