Utility One Source (UOS) recently announced several initiatives designed to bolster its service capabilities for its customers. The company expects these initiatives to enhance its “one-stop shop” convenience and more, including an expansion into Canada and the launch of several new Load King products.

To proactively meet the changing demands of customers, UOS announced:

  • Custom Truck Capital — This captive finance company was created to deliver a full suite of financing options to make equipment acquisition easy and affordable, according to UOS. Both leases and purchase financing will be available. For large customers, an experienced, structured finance team will develop customized solutions to meet business objectives. Retail customers can expect quick credit decisions and a convenient documentation process, UOS said.
  • Equipment Auction and Online Sales — Later this year, UOS will launch an equipment auction and online sales platform. This gives customers the ability to sell their used equipment at no additional cost, and offers them a potential guaranteed minimum price, according to UOS. The first auction will be live later this year.
  • 24-Hour Call Center — Customers can connect with a team of equipment experts 24/7. Calls to the center are answered by UOS expert technicians for faster, more specific solutions, UOS said. Customers also have access to a vast aftermarket parts portfolio for immediate use.
  • Canadian Expansion

UOS also announced its first corporate location in Canada after acquiring the assets and employees of H&H Crane Inc.

Located in Alberta, Canada, this location will build on the respected reputation H&H developed and fostered with its customers. The acquisition offers significant opportunities to bring the “one-stop shop” model to the Canadian market, with an initial focus on transmission projects.

Bringing New Load King Products to the Market

    These products include:

  • Signature Series 18-in. loaded deck height trailer featuring Load King's safe load and unload design, allowing track equipment to load without breaking over. Deck height is improved by 6 in. for taller cargo.
  • Dump Body Line — the 10-ft. dump body and 16-ft. semi-elliptical dump bodies feature best-in-class performance and durability, according to UOS.
  • Specialized trailers for the utility industry, including a pole trailer and a reel trailer.
  • Bumper winch, available with and without capstan.
  • New Branding Approach

Soon, UOS will launch a comprehensive new branding approach with one name, one vision and one united force, the company said. Updates about this new brand approach are imminent, with a full rollout of the new name expected in early 2018.
