VMAC has released the G30 gas engine driven air compressor, now powered by a Honda GX390 gas engine. The G30 offers up to 30 CFM at 100 percent duty cycle, making it the best choice for operators using air tools for light duty applications, including mobile mechanics, tire service technicians and light duty contractors.
“The G30, now powered by Honda, continues to lead the industry with reliability, durability, and performance, at the most affordable price available,” said Mike Pettigrew, VMAC's marketing manager. “VMAC's G30 has always been the lightest, smallest and most affordable gas engine driven air compressor in the industry, and now with the change to the Honda gas engine, it offers even more value to our customers.”
The change from the Subaru EX40 engine to the Honda GX390 engine is significant, as it represents several major improvements to VMAC's popular G30 air compressor. First, the gas engine driven air compressor is now 23 percent quieter at high idle, and 75 percent quieter at low idle. Second, it's 15 percent more fuel efficient, running longer on a single tank of gas. Third, the VMAC G30 now has improved operational performance at hot temperatures and high elevations.
This rotary screw air compressor weighs just 205 lbs., delivers 30 CFM at 100 percent duty cycle, and does not require a bulky air receiver tank to be added to the service truck. The result is a 50 percent lighter and 50 percent more powerful air compressor, when compared to 22-30 CFM reciprocating gas drive air compressors with 30-gal. air receiver tank. The lightweight design means trucks can save up to 4 percent in fuel, while the compact size makes more space available in the back of the truck for tools and equipment, according to the manufacturer.
Like all VMAC air compressors, the VMAC G30 gas engine driven air compressor is backed by a VMAC lifetime limited warranty, while the Honda engine is supported by a 3-year Honda limited warranty.
“The VMAC G30 gas engine driven air compressor is the best choice for customers that need the lightweight, compact performance of a rotary screw air compressor, at the lowest price possible,” said Pettigrew. “VMAC is thrilled to re-release the G30 with new benefits for our customers, thanks to the addition of the Honda gas engine.”
