Business has increased so much for Rock Products Inc., a landscape and building supply business in Thorofare, NJ, that owner, Charles Zeisloft II, decided that the company needed a second compact wheel loader to keep up with the workload.

After doing his homework, Zeisloft purchased a Volvo L35B from LB Smith’s Deptford, NJ, branch. “We demoed several compact loaders, but Volvo outperformed them all,” he said. “This machine is extremely maneuverable and the 1.4-cubic-yard bucket gives us the flexibility we need to work in very tight spaces.”

“Our operators love this machine,” he added. “It’s amazingly quiet and, with its joystick controls, they can handle it with one hand.”

The company, founded in 1998, bought its first new Volvo, an L30, from LB Smith two years ago.

“With the rapid growth of our company, these machines will be in use day and night, so it’s important that we have as little downtime as possible,” Zeisloft said. “LB Smith has always given us excellent service. Whatever we need, they respond immediately.

“We feel very comfortable that we’ve purchased the ideal machine, and that LB Smith will always be there for us.”
