Construction Equipment Guide

Wacker Neuson’s narrow body light tower product line has expanded to include two models powered by Kubota engines. With the addition of this popular engine choice to the LTN series, contractors and dealers can now select from three power sources to receive the full benefits of Wacker Neuson’s lighting packages.

Also new to the light tower line is a factory-installed options program allowing customers to customize their light towers. Wacker Neuson’s LTN series is available with a cold weather package that includes key options to receive reliable lighting in cold climates. Perfect for short days and extreme temperatures in the northern climates, the cold weather options include an engine block heater, oil pan heater, battery heater and 2-1/2 in. (6.3 cm) adjustable height pintle hitch. These as well as additional options such as hitches, power winch and outlet options also are available depending on the model.

The new LTN 6K is powered by a Kubota D1005, 13.1 hp (9.7 kW), Tier IV engine. This unit features a large 30 gal. (113.5 L) fuel tank that offers up to 71 hours of quiet lighting (68 dBA @ 23 ft.). The new LTN 8K is powered by the Kubota D1105, 15.4 hp (11.5 kW), Tier IV engine and can provide uninterrupted lighting for up to 72 hours. The new Kubota models are offered with the choice of a 6 kW (LTN 6K) alternator or an 8 kW version (LTN 8K) for powering additional tools. These new models offer additional outlets with standard 1 x 120V 20A GFCI duplex receptacles as well as 1 x 120V/240V 30A twist lock. The 8 kW version has 2 x 120V 20A GFCI duplex receptacles.

These trailer-mounted light towers feature a compact, narrow body design for cost effective transport and storage. All Wacker Neuson light tower models feature 4 x 1000 Watt metal halide bulbs shock mounted in elliptical light fixtures that offer job site illumination that is diffused and more uniform without the harsh spotlight effects of standard light fixtures, according to the manufacturer. The 30-ft. (9 m) adjustable tower rotates 360-degrees for optimum lighting flexibility.

The light towers are available with a variety of engine options and generator outputs and come with a 2-year complete warranty. These units illuminate general job sites, site prep, concrete pours, specialty events, parking lots, road work and bridge work. Wacker Neuson lighting products include narrow body and wide body light towers as well as several versions of light balloons.
