Walsh Equipment Company has announced the company’s first major expansion since opening its branch location in Ebensburg, Pa., in 2012. The dealership’s headquarters location in Prospect, Pa., underwent renovations that doubled the size of its current structure.

The new 10,000 sq. ft. addition will include a 3,000 sq. ft. parts department, along with significantly larger service department equipped with overhead cranes and new tooling for more efficient service work. Another new addition at the location is a 12,500 sq. ft. equipment demo area where customers will be invited to test out the dealerships many backhoes, excavators, skid steers and telehandlers.

According to Walsh Equipment President Charles Walsh, the expansion is just one of many initiatives resulting from the dealership’s strategic focus on customer service for 2015.

“In our role as a value provider for our customers, we recognize that uptime is everything,” Walsh said.

Founded in 1932 by Charles Walsh’s grandfather, Philip Walsh, the company is dedicated to serving Pennsylvania’s construction, highway, paving, municipal and agricultural industries, offering a full range of equipment sales, rentals, parts and service from the dealership’s two locations.

As well as a recently re-launched Web site, additional service focused enhancements implemented by Walsh Equipment this year include free UPS delivery and the company’s new Ad-Van-tage Van with, in many cases, same day parts delivery to customers throughout western and central Pennsylvania.

Walsh Equipment Company is a full line JCB dealer serving a 23 county market area in central and western Pennsylvania. The company also is an authorized dealer of J & J Truck Bodies & Equipment, LeeBoy, Rosco, Schwarze street sweepers, Tiger mowers, and Gledhill and Western snow plows.
