Worldwide Kenworth of South Carolina is the latest addition to the Kenworth dealer network of nearly 320 locations in the United States and Canada.

Its parent company, Worldwide Equipment in Prestonsburg, Ky., recently purchased the assets of Cherokee Kenworth, and now operates locations in West Columbia and Greenville, S.C., under the Worldwide Kenworth of South Carolina banner.

“We’re pleased to add Worldwide Kenworth of South Carolina to the Kenworth dealer network,” said Gary Moore, Kenworth general manager. “Worldwide Equipment has served Kenworth customers with high-quality Kenworth heavy and medium duty trucks, parts and service for nearly 26 years and we appreciate their support to Kenworth customers. We especially congratulate Terry Dotson, Worldwide Equipment’s president, chairman and CEO, for being named the 2012 Truck Dealer of the Year by the American Truck Dealers [ATD] at the recent ATD convention in Las Vegas. Terry is a long-time leader in the industry and is well-deserving of this very special honor.”

Nominees for the award are evaluated based on several categories, including dealership performance, civic contributions and industry leadership. The winner and runner-up were chosen by a panel of professors from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Worldwide Kenworth of South Carolina in West Columbia is located at 707 Cherokee Lane. The full-service facility features 12 service bays. The facility is open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Phone number is 803/926-2900.
