Yanmar America presents a check to Doug Belisle from the Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter at the conclusion of its 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Fields Ferry Golf Club in Calhoun, Ga.

Yanmar America hosted its highly anticipated 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament, an event dedicated to raising funds for the Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter located in Cartersville, Ga.

The tournament took place on Sept. 21, 2023, at the Fields Ferry Golf Club in Calhoun, Ga., and brought together 20 teams of golfers for a day of friendly competition and community support.

Golfers gathered for a shotgun start at 1:00 pm, preceded by a boxed lunch served from 12:30 pm. The event was a great success, with participants competing for top honors on the scenic golf course.

One of the highlights of the tournament was the opportunity to win a Yanmar UTV as a hole-in-one prize. Although the UTV remained unclaimed, it added an element of excitement to the day. Awards were presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed teams, alongside contests for the longest drive and closest to the pin. Participants also had the chance to win raffle prizes, making this fantastic day of golf and charitable giving even more exciting.

All proceeds from the Charity Golf Tournament were directed toward the Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter, an organization that provides shelter, support and guidance to individuals and families. During the awards ceremony following the tournament, Yanmar America welcomed Doug Belisle from Good Neighbor, and announced the total amount raised during the event. This generous contribution will play a significant role in supporting the shelter's mission to assist those in need.
