Harter Equipment, Inc.

Harter Equipment is based in Millstone Township, N.J. Founded in the late 1960s by Seth Harter and today run by Sue Harter, his daughter, Harter Equipment is a John Deere, Kubota, Kobelco, Kawasaki, Rayco, Hyundai, Interstate, CAM Superline, Bell, Land Pride, Atlas Copco, Dynapac and Woods dealer. Seth Harter, a crane salesman for North Jersey Equipment Company, decided to look into going into business for himself. His plan was to find the best products and deliver the best service possible to the New Jersey construction industry. His initial research pointed him in one direction, John Deere, and in January 1967, Harter Equipment opened its doors for business.
