West Side Tractor Sales Co, Inc.

The story of West Side began in the early 60’s when Rich and Mary Benck started the company in 1962 in Lisle, Illinois. Over the years, the business rapidly grew to boast locations in Rockford, South Holland, and Wheeling. Towards the end of the 80’s, Rich Benck gave everyday control of the company to his three children, Steve, Tom, and Diane. All three are heavily involved in the business today in a variety of roles, and have ably led the company into the 21st century. It was this second generation that oversaw the acquisition of 5 Indiana construction dealerships and an expansion into the specialized rail business. The family recently saw the third generation enter the business with the introduction of Steve’s three children to the company. With its rich tradition of customer service firmly rooted, the company looks future success with high confidence.
