Mellott, Metso Minerals Open Wire Screen Fabrication Facility in PA

Metso Minerals and Mellott Enterprises Inc. (MEI) has announced the establishment of a new wire screen fabrication facility at MEI’s headquarters in Warfordsburg, PA.

The new facility produces Metso’s Trellex wire screen systems, comprising a complete range of opening, wire diameter, metal and weave types to fit a wide range of screening applications. The wire screen facility will enable MEI to provide enhanced service solutions to its customers in the aggregates industry.

MEI is Metso’s authorized distributor for screen media in the states of Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and portions of New Jersey.

“With the addition of this facility, MEI customers can be confident that they will have quick access to wire screening media. In many cases, we can provide overnight shipment of the panels and give our customers the products they need to keep operating,” said Jim Minnichbach, vice president of Sales for MEI.

David Quail, Metso Minerals’ product manager for Screen Media in North America stated, “Partnering with our distributors in North America is a central part of our goal of adapting our product offering to the market and improving customer service. MEI has the experience and know-how to make this facility a success.”

Metso Minerals has begun development of wire screen fabrication facilities at its screen media distributors throughout North America. The partnership includes technical support and training by Metso personnel. These facilities are integral to the company’s goal of closer customer contact and improved product service.

Metso Minerals is a leading supplier of crushing and screening systems and solutions, serving aggregate production, quarrying, mining, minerals processing, construction and recycling industries. The main products are crushers, screens, mining equipment, grinding mills, wear products and conveying equipment.

In addition to a range of on-site crushing plants, Metso Minerals manufactures track and wheel-mounted crushing and screening units for the recycling crushing industry. It also supplies wear and spare parts for maintenance services.
