Security Equipment Takes on Kobelco’s Dynamic, Acera Lines

Security Equipment, based in Baltimore, MD, has taken on Kobelco’s Dynamic and Acera excavator series line.

Security has been a long-time New Holland dealer and, according to Thom Drescher, president of Security, picking up the Kobelco line just made good sense.

“It was logical for us to pick up this line because of New Holland Construction’s acquisition of Kobelco, as well as the long standing commitment that Kobelco has for great service with its heavy iron. Since we were already a full-line New Holland dealer, this just broadened our product offering,” said Drescher, adding that brand recognition is the key to iron success and that Kobelco has it.

To handle the new line, Security Equipment has three sales representatives who will cover five Maryland counties — Baltimore, Harford, Arundel, Howard and Carroll.

Security Equipment, which has been in existence for 35 years and is celebrating its 15th year under current ownership, also carries Bandit brush wood chippers, Carlton stump grinders and Alamo highway mowing equipment.
