Gomaco Corporation recently named Tractor & Equipment Company’s (TEC) Stith Division the manufacturer’s concrete paving products dealer for Georgia.

“We are delighted that Gomaco has selected Tractor & Equipment Company’s Stith Division to distribute their products and support their customers in Georgia,” said Dan Stracener, TEC president. “From the beginning, Gomaco Corporation’s designs and concepts have pioneered many aspects of slipforming concrete construction. Gomaco was instrumental in the development and marketing of the concrete slipforming concept, which has had a significant impact on the economics of concrete construction.”

Gomaco manufactures curb and gutter machines, concrete slipform pavers, placer/spreaders, trimmer/placers, cylinder finishers, canal machinery and accessories primarily for the concrete construction and road builder market.

“Slipform paving is often the most cost-effective method of laying concrete pavement,” said Jim Waitzman, TEC chairman and CEO.

Gomaco offers a range of products to meet the needs of any size contractor that needs to lay concrete in a paving-related environment cost effectively, said Waitzman. “Whether the application is curbs, gutters and sidewalks in a new subdivision or interstate-standard pavements, Gomaco has the right machine for the job.”

In business for 60 years, TEC is one of the Southeast’s most successful construction, mining and heavy equipment distributors. Including the company’s Georgia operations, TEC operates more than 20 branches in Alabama, Georgia and northwest Florida.

A full-service dealer, TEC’s Stith Division provides equipment sales, rentals, parts and service throughout Georgia. In addition to its Atlanta headquarters, TEC’s Stith Division has branches in Macon, Albany, Augusta, Dalton, Savannah, Hoschton and Columbus.
