Ryan Foley, vice president of Foley Rents at Foley Incorporated, announced that Duarte “Dewey” Cardoso has been promoted to rental account manager.

Before coming to Foley, Cardoso worked as an assistant equipment manager at Cruz Construction in Holmdel, N.J., for three years. In 1995, Cardoso was hired as a parts handler for Foley’s main parts warehouse. In this position he learned all working areas of the warehouse, processed orders and assisted with inventory management. In May of 1997, Cardoso started gaining experience in the service department as an assistant field service dispatcher for Foley’s construction division. From here, he was promoted to field service foreman and then field service manager in late 2000.

In November of 2001, Cardoso was promoted to branch manager of Foley Rent’s Monroe location, where he oversaw all operations of the facility, including the parts department and hose shop. Cardoso also was responsible for all service work related to the rentals out of this facility.

After seven years in Monroe, Cardoso accepted this most recent position of rental account manager.

“We are very excited to see Dewey excel in this new position and continue to play a vital role in supporting our Foley Rents customers,” Foley said.

As a Foley rental account manager, Cardoso will be responsible for all outside rentals of Caterpillar equipment in Mercer, Monmouth and Middlesex counties, as well as Staten Island. He also will be handling the sales and rentals of all allied equipment in the same territory, such as Sykes Pumps, Sullair air compressors and Genie aerial lifts.

“During Dewey’s time at Foley, he has proven to be an incredible asset to our organization, as well as our customers. His time spent in construction field service at Foley has helped him hone his keen ability for customer support,” Foley said.
