Susan Connolly, executive vice president and COO of Foley Inc., announced the promotion of George Kattak to vice president and chief financial officer.

Prior to joining Foley, Kattak worked as a certified public accountant and certified fraud examiner for Bederson & Company LLP, a public accounting firm. He is a member of both the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) and of NJSCPA (N.J. Society of Certified Public Accountants).

Kattak joined Foley in October 2001 as corporate controller, bringing with him 18 years of experience in accounting. He assumed responsibilities for issuing monthly financial statements, general ledger maintenance, overseeing the annual audits performed by independent accountants and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts. In 2002, he managed the transition to SAP.

In March of 2006, Kattak was promoted to director of finance. Most recently, in 2008, he led the successful installation of CODA, the company’s new financial operating system.

As chief financial officer of Foley Inc., Kattak will now be responsible for all financial aspects of the business, including banking relationships and legal and insurance matters. He also works with all outside consultants, including audit, tax, legal and insurance. Kattak is responsible for both internal and external financial reporting, benefit plans and Foley’s corporate tax filings. In addition to all of these tasks, he also oversees all functions of the Accounting Department.

Connolly stated, “Throughout his tenure here, George has displayed the Foley Value of Trust by doing what’s in the best interest of the employees, the customers and the company. He is held in high esteem due to his ethics and sense of personal responsibility and is a person that all of us put our trust in.”
