Groff Announces Several Promotions, Additions to Its Team

Groff Tractor & Equipment Inc. has announced the following promotions and new additions to its team.

Jim Shook has been promoted to vice president of operations for all six of the company's branches. In his new role, Shook will be responsible for all staffing, marketing and strategic planning for the parts departments and service departments at all branch locations. Shook also will be responsible for overseeing the general facilities at all branch locations. Previously, Shook was general manager of Groff Tractor's two Pittsburgh branches since spring 2010.

Matt Wilson has been promoted to vice president of paving and recycling products. In his new role, Wilson will be responsible for managing all inventory, marketing and strategic planning in order to effectively sell, rent and support the customers within these markets. Wilson also will manage the introduction of the Kleemann Crushing and Screening product line from Wirtgen America, which Groff Tractor & Equipment recently took on. Previously, Wilson was corporate paving manager since spring 2006.

Mike Lester has been promoted to vice president of used equipment/governmental sales. In his new role, Lester will be responsible for managing all used equipment inventory, marketing and strategic planning. Lester also will be responsible for managing the governmental business sector and will be responsible for all sales and rentals into these markets. Lester has been with Groff Tractor since 2002 and was previously corporate used equipment manager since spring 2008.

Mike Hemphill is a new hire, now serving as account manager covering the western Pittsburgh market. He will be based out of the Cranberry Township store. Hemphill previously worked for the former Case dealer Briggs Equipment and most recently the Komatsu dealer Linder Machinery.

Jim Price has been promoted to full-time CFO along with his position as executive vice president. Prior to becoming full-time CFO, Price was vice president of product support since fall 2006 and was acting CFO since summer 2009. Price, who also is an owner of the company, has been with Groff Tractor since 2003. Additional roles during his tenure include vice president - central region for the company.

Groff also is looking for a regional sales manager for its New Stanton and Cranberry Township stores. CEG
